I was lucky enough to get my first COVID vaccine shot today.
Reading about all this stuff going on with the GOP makes me think it is an X-Files episode. I keep waiting for Mulder and Scully to show up. I hate to compare it like that because I love the X-Files.

I tend to do things alone most of the time so this pandemic and lockdown aren’t that bad for me. But I do miss going to the movies, baseball games, concerts. The closest “big” city to me is Asheville and it had a bustling music scene.
I’m sitting on the back porch smoking my pipe, drinking my coffee, and watching all the different birds come to the bird feeders to get some food. My dog is at feet watching to. You have to enjoy the little things.
Since I’ve been working from home I have been writing in my journal more. It is the first thing I do in the morning after making coffee. The entries are a mix of work, personal, and a timeline of the virus in my community and surrounding area. Is it sad that it took a wordwide pandemic for me to really appreciate journaling? I’m relatively new to it, I didn’t start until 2012 when I was participating in a leadership program.
Tribal council has closed the rez to visitors today but at least my cribbage pegs arrived before all this. But my cribbage club has been cancelled until further notice. Now would be a good time to teach my nephew how to play.
Since I finally finished school I’ve been going back to my local cribbage club. I forgot how much fun the game is and I missed all of our club members. I’m constantly getting my butt kicked but it’s fun.
I played cribbage at the local club for the first time in a long, long time. Lost my first 5 games but won my last 4 and won high hand pot for $6. But the best part was hanging out with all the members and meeting the new ones. A fun night that got me back into playing cribbage.

I’m trying to get in the mood to do spring cleaning but I’m afraid of what I’ll find and be forced to throw things away that I think I need to keep.
The older I get the more I appreciate sitting at home reading, drinking coffee, and hanging out with my dogs. Especially on a rainy day.
Finally getting to watch the season premiere of Game of Thrones. I’ve been avoiding social media and other fans so I won’t hear any spoilers.
